Designed as a family homestead in the Texas Hill Country, this new-build home draws from the character of old European country houses without attempting to recreate one. The goal was to create something that felt rooted in its landscape from the beginning—and would become richer and more personal with time.

Reclaimed oak beams, limestone, plaster, honed marble, natural wood, and unlacquered brass bring warmth and texture to a restrained palette. Rather than manufacturing age, materials were selected for the way they would soften, patinate, and gather evidence of family life over the years.

At the heart of the home, the kitchen, dining, and living spaces flow naturally together, creating an easy setting for everyday life and gathering. Antiques and collected pieces temper the scale of the architecture, while comfortable furnishings and organic textures keep the rooms relaxed and approachable.

Throughout the house, European influences are balanced by the practicality and informality of Hill Country living. The result is a home intended not simply to look timeless, but to grow into itself—one shaped as much by the life lived there as by the materials with which it was made.
